Anyone using a seamstress who they know takes dresses not bought from the salon?
My dress is from Pronovias Italy bc it was a gift from my father who sent it overseas...the Pronovias NY wont work on it bc it wasnt bought in the states!!
I need a talented seamstress who can help make me a bustle as I did not anticipate a train! Thank you in advance! Kat

I have 2 that were recommended to me. One in nassau and the other in Suffolk. Which one is closer for you?

I have their info @ home so I will forward it to you tonight. One is in Deer Park and the other is in East Meadow. I think I am going to personally use the one in East Meadow. My sister in law just used her for her wedding and she was fantastic and reasonably priced. The one in deer park was recommended by my aunt who takes all of her dresses there. Says that they do an outstanding job. I live in Suffolk but I am wanting to keep my dress in Nassau so the FH doens't have any chance of seeing it.
Side note: My sister just ordered her dress by Pronovias. Love their quality!

I don't mind sharing good info that I received. :)
Both places are seamstresses and not bridal salons so every dress is an 'outside dress'. The seamstress in east meadow has a shop in her home. The one in Deer Park is an actual shop. Both were highly recommended!
I'll have that info to you ladies tonight!

Hello All!
This is my very first post on LI Weddings, though I've lightly stalked in the past. I'm not sure I quite know exactly what a 'FM' is just yet, but I'd love the names and contact information for these seamstresses as well, if at all possible. If anyone can fill me in on how to check my messages too, that would be wonderful!
