Seasonal Work

How hard is it to get a job say at like Macys for the holiday season with no retail experience? Do they hire anyone?

I feel like I always see signs for holiday hiring. I would give them a call.

as long as you can work late hours and weekends, it should be okay. definately apply

i did this one season at macys. and target called me back too. so those two i know from first hand did not REQUIRE previous retail experience (cuz at the time, i had none)

No experience needed. Macy's, Piercing Pagoda, Bookstore and a couple of other stores are all hiring in Walt Whitman Mall in Huntington

I was in macys last year and an employee walked up to me and asked if I was looking for a job. They prob don't care about experience!

I worked one year at Macy's for the holidays.....in Ladies Shoes....I wanted to kill myself!!!!!!!!

You have to work usually until closing and also then had to stay to clean up the mess that the lunatic holiday shoppers made!

It was the only job I have ever quit, just because I absolutely hated it. I think I lasted three weeks maybe.

I tried to become an elf at Macy's in Herald Square but they didn't have the shift I needed available.

I really just wanted to dress in an elf costume on a regular basis.

They take that whole job VERY seriously. They were very much into my theatre background. Couldn't care less about retail experience though.
