seasons that are okay for black BM dresses??

Do you think it would ever be okay to have black bridesmaids dresses at a summer and/or early fall wedding?

I just fell in love with some black and silver dresses, but am not sure if black is a no-no for a summer or early fall wedding. (Note - we don't have a date yet!)

Funny thing is that I'm nowhere near the picking-out-BM-dresses stage... I highly doubt I'm going to go with black... or anything I've seen today online for that matter.

It just got me thinking...

My friend got married in July and the BM wore blacka nd silver dresses. It looked really nice. she was worried if it was too dark but she also had an evening wedding.

I think black is acceptable year round....it's very elegant and flattering and I don't associate it with funerals unless the entire wedding (including guests) all happen to wear black.... That might be a bit morbid.

we are in the year 2006---approaching 2007.....we are in the 'do whatever you want' point with wedings!

black is fine as a BM dress any time of the year!!!!

Blask is the one color that works all year round. Although, IMHO, if a bride likes a particular color she shouldn't let the season deter her from using it.
