Re: seat covers
They wont offer you chair covers at your RH? I would ask them first what the fee would be to cover the chairs.

Re: seat covers
my friend had to do this a couple of years ago and he rented them for $8 a chair.
$200 times 8 = ouch
did you try ebay or online? Sometimes it's better to buy than rent

Re: seat covers
I was told that they were a waste, b/c they slide off and become uncomfortable to the guest. They only look nice before anyone sits on them. Maybe you can get the ones that just drop over that back of the chair and not the actual seat. Good Luck

Re: seat covers
If the seats are really that ugly to have to cover up...then I would def. go to a facric store and do it yourself. But usually, the RH does supply all that for you....

Re: seat covers
I'm also looking into seat covers. I've sat on them and didn't find them uncomfortable. I personally don't like the look of the chairs in the room at my RH and feel like they will clash with the colors that I am doing. There is a place in Hicksville that the EW recommends that I will most likely get in touch with.

Re: seat covers
you're covering the ceremony chairs? IMO, the price you're going to pay for chair covers is a little costly for something you'll only use for an hour

Re: seat covers
I would opt to spend he money on ribbons and flowers to kind of mask what is ugly about them.
When it comes to seating, I think comfort is more important than looks.
I agree with above, depending on the quality of the seat covers they slip and slide.
IMO they are ugly. But thats just me.

Re: seat covers
most reception halls have them ... some charge anywhere from $3-$5 per person... some RH's give it to you for free... see if they will throw them in for you
