I've seen this term posted before about a girl being a 'seat filler' at a wedding. What is it really? How do you go about making a list of people to be a seat filler? How do you ask someone to be that?

some liw girls go to each other's wedding as a seat filler if someone backed out last minute....
also maybe you have a friend in your real life who you just got close with so she/he isn't invited to the wedding and you could ask her/him.

A seat filler is someone who attends the wedding so you don't have to pay for an empty seat if you are under your minimum. I think of it as a 'C' list. It is people that I would like to invite because they are a lot of fun to hang out with but I couldn't invite because of various reasons. If I get to that point I plan on juts being honest with them...tell them I am under my minimum and would love it if they could make it and have fun....no stress, no gift required. HTH

There is a thread on here somewhere of girls who are willing to be seat-fillers at other girl's weddings if they are under their minimum.
