If my hall provides seating cards then do I still need to make a seating chart to display? I'm confused as to how that works....
I knwo some brides are making the seating charts with each guests names on it, but is there a template (does any one have one they can send me) of where the tables are located with table numbers, but not names of guests? I'm so confused....

Re: Seatign charts vs. seating cards???
I'm sure you can have both but you really can use just one or the other.
I am designing my own cards to match with my theme. I like the idea of the seating chart but just know most of the older members of our families will have a hard time 'getting it'

i heard you shouldnt do a seating chart if you are having a lot of guests...it waste too much time with people standing in line to read the board

I could totally see that being a problem if you have like 200+ guests. We're only having about 100 so we're doing a chart. I like the way they look anyway and I think the one that I made is a nice personal touch.

Re: Seatign charts vs. seating cards???
my hall provides neither. i'm doing place cards. it will be easier b/c i'm having a lot of guests. they will pick up their card and then go. the seating chart will be a hassle with all those ppl standing around. i like the idea though. but knowing my family they won't understand OR they'll like it so much that they will stand and look at it for 20 minutes and crown around!

Re: Seatign charts vs. seating cards???
I'd go with cards vs. chart... Cards are traditional and guests will look for them.. If theres a chart they'll most likely not know what it is! Or they might forget by the time they get into the ballroom!
