Seating Arrangements

Does anyone still do the bride's family on one side, groom on the other, or is it all mixed these days? What about if one side is having alot more people then the other?

i think for the most part people still do bride on one side.... groom on the other...

FH has lots more people on his side than mine ... we'll probably do FH's family on one side ... and my family AND our friends on the other side

we basically have the same amount of people, give or take a bunch.....

FH family will be on one side and mine will be on the other.

IDK, good ques. I think it will be opposite sides solely b/c each side will want the their older guests as far away from the music as possible and the band & dance floor is what is dividing the room.

Ditto! I think it just makes it more convenient so that the people who know each other can mingle from table to table.

And our parents have asked us if they can sit at the same table, they have been friends for years...

We ended up mixing our families mainly cousin and some family friends b/c it is the only way it worked.

Definitely mixing. Plus the layout of our room wouldn't really allow for anything else.

We're not doing this. FH doesn't have as many tables, not even half as many as I do. So we placed people with who we thought they'd have the best time with.
