seating arrangements for wedding

My husband & I are footing the whole bill for our daughters wedding. I was just wondering how you are going about setting up the seating arrangements. Are you dividing the room equally (or close to equal) as far as distance from dj and dancefloor or are you giving consideration to your side first as to what tables to put them at?

Most people will set it up equally (or close to) as you mentioned. Also, keeping the more 'important' guest (ie- closer relatives) closer to the bride and groom.
