Seating Assignments at RH Tables

Seating Assignments at RH Tables

This may be a dumb question, but do you have to assign your guests to specific seats at the tables, or just the tables?

For ex: you invite John and Mary Smith and assume they are at Table 6. When you set up the tables at the RH, do you need to put down:

John & Mary Smith, Table 6 and when they arrive at Table 6, they need to have another placecard saying 'Seat 2 and 3'

or do you just leave it as Table 6, and have them figure out where to sit at the table??

No question is a dumb question! Usually, in most cases, you would just assign 'John and Mary Smith' to table X, and then they would proceed to sit where they wanted at that table.

yea and if you wanted to assign specific seating you would have to make placecards for the table to tell them which seat as well as escort cards that tell them which table
