Seating Boards

Hey there! I saw one of these at my friends wedding at the North Ritz Club last summer. It was beautiful. I really would like to have one at my wedding. Yesterday, I went to this place in Howard Beach where you can rent them. It was next door to Flowers By Brian. When she told me the one that I liked cost $550.00 to rent, I almost died!!!

I know that someone on the 2011 board made one themself. Would you be able to tell me and explain to me how to do this? I think $550 is very steep especially if I have to rent it. TIA!

I'm making mine. I used photoshop and just played with some designs until I was happy with the way it looked. Make sure you get very high resolution images otherwise it will look awful once it's full poster size.

I got my frame from Joann's but Michaels has some nice ones.

I plan on adding in all the names the week of the wedding and printing the poster at Kinkos or Staples.

I think mine is 24x36.

This may sound like a silly question but if you use photoshop, how do you get the image on a big poster? Since a traditional printer is much smaller, are you planning on attaching the image to a poster from regular paper? I just feel clueless

Make sure to start the image the correct size. Don't print it from your home computer, take the file to Kinkos or someplace similar and have them print it the correct size.
