I saw a seating chart that is beautiful but I'm wondering if they work - do people really look at the chart or are they walking around wondering where to sit? If you have ever seen one in action please let me know. Thanks!

I've seen one in action! that's where I got the idea from in the first place. Believe me, if they want to eat, people will want to know where they're sitting, lol. AND I saw it with table names instead of numbers. there didn't seem to be any confusion.

It is usually the size of a poster (designed to your taste) and it lists everyone in alphabetical order and their coinciding table number.
My BIL is a graphic designer so he is creating ours for us versus paying over $200 for it.
I think it is sooooo much better than your normal table cards- JMO

i am thinking of also doing a seating chart versus placecards.

I think this is great for a smaller/mid size wedding. I have been to one with a larger and sometimes there is a small crowd by it.. Can get tricky for the bigger weddings.
