those of you who are doing seating charts rather than cards, do you have any pics?

Ooooh, that sounds like a great idea... I'd like to see, too.

Re: seating chart

I will try to find a pic, but it was really easy and came out NICE! I did it myself, had it framed at Micheals and it sat on an easal with lots of candles! I had it done and then blown up at Staples into a 16X 20

Re: seating chart

I was thinking of using these as examples. I got samples from the company & I wasn't too impressed with the quality. I might go check a few local prrinters first.

They look like they could very easily be done at home & taken to Kinkos!

I saw these at : Documents & Designs

Re: seating chart

I really like this idea!

The only problem? I don't have many fonts on my pc... which did you use (and at what size), and do you think I can get it online (free)?

Re: seating chart

You can make it on an 8 x 11, regular computer paper, tehn take it into staples, they blew mine up for I think 1.50, Kinkos wanted almost 40 bucks....as for the font..do you have print shop? That has nice font and so does microsoft word. I know that alot of girls on here have seen some free online, but not sure where..you could post and ask..I know its been done. Vendors wwnat to charge you over 100 bucks for this..you can do it for almost free. My frame I resued and hung up a beautiful pic of us kissing by the cake! So I would have bought the frame anyhow!!

Re: seating chart

Alicia - did you say that Staples charged you only $1.50?

Did you bring them a disk? How much did michaels charge you to frame it? I purchased a fram from them; I have the receipt - do you think they'll do the framing for me?

Did you use stands for the candles that centered around the frame on the easel?

sorry for all of the questions, but i am in the process of preparing my own seating chart, and I need a little help.

Thanks.

Re: seating chart

ericia..HI! Yes, Staples charged me just a few bucks...what happened was I had it on a disc, so i brought that in, they charged me two bucks to open it up, but I had orginally thought I wanted a smaller size, so they printed it up on a 11x 14 I think, I took it home and it was too small,,,didnt look right, so I knew I needed it to be 16 X 20, my fram was from michaels, but it came with matting that can come out, with the matting..it holds an 11x 14, if you take the matting out..it holds 16 x 20..so anyhow..I took the 11 x 14 to kinkos because the staples didnt have the machine to make it a 16 x 20, but kinkos wanted a crazy fortune and couldnt have it doen for two days, so i found a staples about 30 minutes away that could do a 16 x 20..I took my smaller version in and they copied it in a dark black and blew it up, it was quick and easy and fit in the frame! My frame I think was 45 bucks, and after the wedding, I took the chart out and put the matting back in and hung up a wedding pic in it! You can frame it yourself, no raeson to pay them to do it..if you have any questions..just ask! id be glad to help!!!

Re: seating chart

I had one on a standing easel and one on a table easal, the table easel had candles around it, my standing one had flowers, my hall supplied the easals. I didnt need to have two, just had it anyway...one should be sufficient!

Re: seating chart

aliciahelene- can you tell me what program you used? did you use microsoft word? and if so, do you have a template you can send to me.

i got a price quote of $250 to do this and that seems like a lot esp. if i can do it myself.

Re: seating chart

I did use microsoft word, but I no longer have a template,,,I had actually had soemone send me one and it confused me even more because our guest list size was so different.
Some people find it easier to do the names by table numer or table name, I wanted my guests alphabetized, so i did them in alphabetical order. Im sorry I dont have the template anymore..oh wait..I think I may have it ona floppy!!! Let me look!!!!

Re: seating chart

That seems so simple! I am so glad to hear someone did this on their own. Price quotes a ridicuolously expensive. Thanks so much for sharing!!!!!!
