Re: Seating Chart
I was thinking of using either post-its that I can keep shifting around or excel and do each table by column.

Re: Seating Chart
We used the RSVPs and for the ones who didn't send them back but we had confirmation they were coming, we used index cards. Then we moved the cards around. After, we wrote the table name and the people at each table on a template we made.

Re: Seating Chart
Post-its. I spoke to my mother the other night, and she said she wrote her placecards (just the name, no number), and used those and switched them around.

Re: Seating Chart
I can't imagine doing the seating chart - we are inviting over 240. I really like the idea of just having them race to get a good seat! How funny would that be?

Re: Seating Chart
i stole an idea from liw bride:
'Every guest got their name on a post it flag which i attached to a tooth pick. I made a floor plan of the hall with tables on foam board. Post its had differnt colors for the following: Yellow- a couple Blue - SIngle person coming Green - kids Pink - family more than 2 people that should sit together'
LIW has a seating chart section to help with that.

Re: Seating Chart
I did ours by hand and used pencil. I did not think that it was bad at all. It took less than an hour.

Re: Seating Chart
I started this week to do mine on paper..not fun!! So we transfered it all onto excel and its so much easier, you can cut and paste as you need to move people around.
