The martha stewart website has a great one - so I've been messing around with it. I can tell ya right now this is prob the worst part of everything...

probably about 95% of people dont do seating charts in here in PA....

I live in PA & im definitely a percent of that 95%

Yeah I started trying to arrange the people in my family who I know will be there and it is ridiculous!! I am not looking forward to it... maybe I'll just make my mom do it!!

i already did mine. once i had the list typed up it was simple to just move people around. i also did it by myself so i had no opinions.

I learned a great trick to seating charts from the 10 weddings I have been in.

Take a piece of Oak Tag, draw the layout of your venue. Keeping in mind, where the bar is, where the speakers/DJ will be and other requirements (IE someone in a wheelchair, elderly, children)

On Post it note (the smaller the better) write everyone's name (with/ without guest). Some quick advice (do two different colors of Post its, for your side and his side)

Then with your MOM, FMIL, whomever you just take the post it notes and stick them to a table.

IT is so much easier then anything else. you can move them around and when everyone agrees on a table, you know who they are and what table they will be at.

DON'T FORGET TO NUMBER THE TABLES! It will help you with you place cards!
