Re: Seating Chart Hell..
I saw on someone's wedding blog that they wrote each guest name on a post-it note and used paper plates as the tables, and just moved people around that way, laid out on the floor of their apt. It seemed like an interesting method!!

Re: Seating Chart Hell..
i got big constuction paper and drew the table on it same as what the hall gave me, then put 10-12 lines inside them and wrote everyones name on it:
1) jane doe 2)guest 3)bob smith 4)guest
it was so much easier this way and i did it in pencil so if i needed to erase i could! HTH!! good luck!!

I used the knot.com and we were done in 15 minutes. We were able to change people around easily. Try it.

Re: Seating Chart Hell..
We had all of our names in an Excel spreadsheet (bc EVERYTHING needed to be on my spreadsheet ) so I just made the font bigger and put the number of people on it too.
So we had like: Mr. and Mrs. Smith - 2 The Doe Family - 5
and that way I didn't accidentally separate people that had to be together. Plus it made doing the counting easier.

Re: Seating Chart Hell..
I was going to suggest using excel.
I have everything in excel so I just made another worksheet and listed everyone that was attending and put them in columns by table.
For example:
Table 1 joe john james jane
Table 2 blah blah blah
It was the easiest way for me. I tried wedding wire and it was too small for me to see and kept messing up on me.

Re: Seating Chart Hell..
I used the post-it method too...it was awesome.
Make sure to put the # of people on the post it or you'll make yourself insane.
