Ok ladies I need your help again. I want to do something different besides the usual placecards on a table. I want to do more of a seating chart that would be hung or placed on an easel. I went to a vendor who does the scroll in a box and they want $195. I am not paying that for some names on big paper.lol so I was wondering if I do it my self how would I then get it printed out on huge maybe 24x36 paper or posterboard and where can I even find that size paper. Please help me all of you lovely creative ladies or maybe give me some other ideas.

Re: SEATING CHART...how do i make one?
Maybe go to Kinko's? Do you also know about the Ribbon Place Card Board???
I am looking into doing that, b/c then you have all of the place cards on the board and it looks really cute! You have all different colored ribbons and it's just a different cute touch.
I would try to go to kinkos and find out how big they can make it, maybe make your own on the computer and print it out and see if they can resize it?

the only places i know that print on that size paper are architect or drafting places. i know of one in brooklyn if you want to call them to get an idea of a price. you don't have to buy the paper, they have it & charge you for what you use.
just a question though...i so love the whole scroll idea and was thinking of doing it myself....BUT i went to a wedding that had one and it didnt work out so well....
my question is...do you have a large guest list...if so..it can get a bit crowded with hundreds of people crammed in trying to find their name on a poster....

Not only does it get crowded, but people forget their table. It's nice to have that little paper tucked into your pocket to look back at when you're actually trying to find your table. Just my opinion.

I never thought about that My gueat list is only about 80 ppl. Do you think that's too many to do the chart?

I think it's do-able, if that's what you prefer. You can do 'menu-style' - like when restaurants have their menu on an easel in front.
I know this is a new trend...I'm just a traditionalist, I guess!

Honestly you can take it to kinkos and have the file in a usb. Have them resize and print. Good Luck!!
