seating HELP!!! repost from BHB

My parents and FHs parents are both seperated. We are trying to figure aout seating for our e-party on the 19th. We were going to put dads on one side and moms on the other. This way everyone could be comfortable and not worry about their friends and families interacting negatively or being uncomfortable. Well, I told my dad this and he was the only 1 of the 4 who had aproblem. He thinks everyone at the party will think he requested this and he will look like a jerk. With 4 sep. people no one will think that. Anyway, do u think we should put them on the same side or separate them?? Anyone have the same prob??? Sorry so long.

I have kind of the same problem-to my parents 10 feet isnt far enough apart!
We are seperating them too-just the way that you are.
I think it is fine and to be honest I dont think anyone will notice-sometimes in order to make the situation comfortable for everyone involved you have to do things like that.
He wont look like a jerk-just tell him you want everyone to be able to have a good time without anyone being uncomfortable.

I also agree....every e-party I have went to too had no seating arrangements....Good Luck either way!
