The computer calligraphy lady said .60 each to do this which will cost like $65-70.
Should I have them handwritten or do it this way? I didn't want to spend the money..real calligraphy will be alot more money.
Should I try & do clear labels? I am confused.

Re: Seating Place Cards
Is it calligraphy? Does she do it as a side job? Maybe I can hire her?

Re: Seating Place Cards
I did the computer calligraphy for my invite envelopes and liked it Better than hand calligraphy. much better and the price was a fraction.

Re: Seating Place Cards
I had my calligraphy done by hand. SHe only charged me .25 per card. It came out beautiful and she was done in about 3 days.

Which usually looks better, by hand or computer? Do you have a sample I could see? That would really help! Thanks!!

Re: Seating Place Cards
We had similar place cards given to us by the RH, but because we couldn't figure out what to do with them, like yourself, we ended up buying the packs of placecards that are sold at Michael's / AC Moore / etc and printing them ourselves. It wasn't expensive - a little time consuming with getting them to line up correctly. And I added a rhinestone to each and everyone of them, which took time too (of course dh wasn't part of that process!!!)
Just another idea!

Did the same thing, but I just bought clear labels and they came out really good.

Re: Seating Place Cards
Ok, so I just tried the clear labels & did come out pretty good. The question is since the cards are pre printed with our names & date in wine colored ink....Can I print the names in black? I don't have a color printer.

Yeah i think that is fine, you want people to be able to read their names. Plus it will nice to have the contrast in colors.

Re: Seating Place Cards
Honestly, no one will even notice that the writing is black and the rest is dark red, so you're fine
