So I am still waiting for a ton of responses, but FH & I wanted to start to do seating arrangements for those people that responded. Here is my question, does the bride's side get the odd or even number tables or does it even make a difference which side gets odd or even numbered tables? TIA

Re: Seating Question
it doesnt really make a difference. We mixed people up all over the place. Sometimes the tables are AROUND the dance floor so you could put the brides family on one side of the room & grooms family on the other...but alot of places arent set up that way & everyone is just OUT THERE. If you have the odd/even side option you can do it just for the sake of tradition but you dont really have to. Your the bride..do what you want!!

Re: Seating Question
Depends upon how the FH numbers them. Mine has the table numbers in sequence, none #1 on the left side, #2 on the right side, #3 on the right side. I asked the maitre'd which side is traditionally the bride's side. I was told the left, which feels awkward to me so I am going to switch it. I prefer to be on FH's right. As for our guests, since I only have three tables worth, we'll be mixing them up.
Call your maitre'd and just ask if he can send you a floorplan so you can start working on the tables.

Re: Seating Question
well i was sitting to the right of my DH facing the tables. So I put my family on the same side as me (even numbers) and DH's family on his side (odd numbers).
