Seating Question: which would you prefer as a guest?
We are having symbols in lieu of table numbers... each menu will also have a story of why that symbol is a part of our lives, mostly funny insights about us as a couple....
would you rather sit at a table with a symbol that connects to you or a different symbol and learn more about us??
for example: we snowboard so should our snowboard friends sit at the snowflake table and read a story they possibly already know?

I think different. So people learn more. But at the same time if you sit them at the table that connects them it may make them feel alittle more important. IDK Sorry I am no help!

I would say to seat everyone with people they know. JMO, but I think you are going to drive yourself crazy trying to match everyone to a specific table/event. However, if you did this, I would display all of the table names and their signifance (with the story attached) on the placecard table or in the cocktail hour room...so guests can read about all of the other tables instead of trying to read them in the dark. Cute idea!

I think to sit at a different table - put all your snowboard folks somewhere they can learn something else - b/c then if you have folks that if you aren't so compartamentalized too - it won't drive you crazy finding out where to put them -
cute idea

Great Idea! Seat them elsewhere. I'm sure they will wander around the room and read the other stories as well!

Thanks all! I was especially concerned with seating the 'non' associated people... thanks!

UGH FH just shot us down, he likes it better to have associated people with their symbol...
