I think they have another name but I can't think of it. Anyone using one I wanted to but my mom thinks that ppl will forget their table and older ppl won't be able to read it. Thoughts?
sorry to edit! I wanted to be clear that I meant the poster with seating assignments at the rh instead of escort cards

Re: seating scroll
im doing one (though im having second thoughts because of the number of guests im having now)
i asked the same question and what they do is they place it in the enterance for everyone to check as they come in, and then they place it right outside the ballroom after CH so anyone who forgot can double check
eta: i ts alphabetized so i think for older people this may be easier for them to navigate than like 200 cards

That is a really good point. Who is making yours?

Re: seating scroll
I considered it - love the look and I think it's something unique. We thought about doing it ourselves, but the logistics got messy (any last minute changes will be so much easier with traditional cards and any mistakes would totally bug me). I spoke with someone at Lovin Oven who can make them, and they look great, but I am having over 300 people so the font would be small, I decided it would be too hard to see. I think I talked myself out of it, but the idea is great, and I think could be really nice for a smaller wedding!

Re: seating scroll
i was at a wedding that had a seating chart board rather than escort cards and it was really cute. no one was confused...i think everyone was able to find their seats without a problem!

Re: seating scroll
we're going to do the same thing with the seating chart thing. FIL's said the same thing about older people forgetting where they'd be sitting. but its only a matter of few minutes that people are gonna need to remember it, and anyways if they have trouble remembering something for that short amount of time, im sure that somebody will be with them to be escorting them..... i think they're a great idea and a lil easier than having soo many cards on a table since its alphabetized.

Re: seating scroll
My place recommended it, and called it a Manifesto. We've opted to go with standard escort cards though bc FH is convinced people will not pay attention to our ceremony bc they are too busy trying to remember their tables.

Re: seating scroll
Ohhhhhh I wanted to do this so badly- I saw it at a bridal show and fell in love with it, but FH thought it was a better idea and just use the escort cards that the RH provides.

Re: seating scroll
I am def doing this, I was trying to come up w/a unique escort table theme and cards & then my fab step-mom suggested it. To me it just makes my life easier.
