seating stress

seating stress

My Mom helped me with seating for the brides side yesterday, and I kept scratching my head at how uneven some tables will be. For example, the 2 family tables are 11 and 12 people, but when it comes to bridesmaids and friends/family friends, we have 8, 8, and 10 on each. Our BM wants 10-12 at each table, but it's just not possible logistically speaking in krder for each side to have 6 tables.

Has anyone ever heard of a RH making an issue out of this?

Oh gosh its not even my wedding and that's giving me a headache. I dread this part of the wedding!!!

Maybe move some family couples to the tables with 8 people. 8 seems too small for a table tbh when you have 12 at another, and the table seats 12.

10-11 per table seems like a compromise btwn you and your banquet manager.

what is krder by the way?

I am having the HARDEST time with the seating--- I am so negative about it this is the 2nd headache after the RSVPs!! I have my own issues going on. I can say that for my hall, they told me TRY to keep it at 10 per table, b/c it looks better, than to have all uneven tables.

Oh noo I am NOT looking forward to this part either. But we had an engagement party so I am hoping that the seating will be similar and won't be that much of a headache!!

My RH told me not to have any tables less than 8 people just in case someone doesn't show up that day and it looks as though no one is sitting at that table.

They also didnt want us to put the kids at their own table... which annoyed us!!

When we handed in the map we had tables of 9, 10, 11, 12 at cirlce tabls and then we had 4 oval tables with 12, 13 and 14. It didnt look bad and no one said anythign about it.

We also had one side with more tables thant he other side because thats the way the numbers worked.
