Second DIY-Unity Candle

Ok this is the unity candle. I got a lot of my ideas from the MICHAELS BOOK OF WEDDING CRAFTS (which I got from my public library and am keeping for awhile!) It is so far the best wedding craft book I have found out there as far as giving you great starting points for ideas. All of their stuff is totally easy to adapt to your own theme.

Ok so the front of the candle looks awesome, but the back you could see where I used hot glue so being anal I glued little charms over the seams. I mean it will be in the back so no one will see it really but I need opions. Doesn't look bad right?

You know, I TOTALLY forgot about the two tapers till i got home from MICHAELS and went DANG! I even had a list lol but forgot to write those on there. Anyway I live in that place so yes I will be going back. I have plenty of ribbon left so I am going to buy plain white tapers then decorate them with those strands of the pink ribbon thats overlapped with the thinner pink with red polka dots instead of using that super thick ribbon. We are using that on the wedding cake.

My moms flipping out about the non traditional colors. My FH is very traditional but like a smart man -grins- he lets me do what I want to do so I am infusing our day with my personality-his will show in other ways because we are both goofballs.
