Second dress

Is anyone getting a second dress for the wedding? I was thinking about it because I will be doing a lot of dancing. I figure I will just have it ....just in case. I do want to keep on the wedding gown as long as I can because you only do it once (anyway). Plus, you spend so much money on it that is best you get your money's worth

If you are getting a second dress, could you post what yours looks like I want to get an idea of what kind of dress I should buy.

Thanks ladies......

Re: Second dress

I dont have a second dress just an outfit to change into to go home in and get everything ready before we leave the RH. Its white flip flops that say bride on the bottom, white tank, and white sweetpant capris. Also, we leave for aour honeymoon 4hrs after the reception. I know of some brides who buy another dress. Two of them never changed. The other one changed only for the last song b/c she forgot too. Its all up to you. Good luck.

I wouldn't bother honestly. I bought one to change into but the day went by sooo fast that by the time I was fone greeting guests the reception was over! I dashed to change and for nothign cause we ended up not going out afterwards, just back home. It would have been nice then to arrive at home in my wedding dress.

We are both changing outfits, so all the important picture will be taken early, e.g. cutting the cake. Then we will both change because we are both party animals. Since my wedding is in the afternoon, a group of us will go dancing. Our flight is Sunday and we can sleep on the plane and party again.

Re: Second dress

I am not getting a second dress for the wedding. I love my dress too much to change out of it for any other reason than the night being over. Besides this is the only time in your life when you can look like a princess with a long gown and a veil - enjoy it to the fullest!

I have one because my dress is so heavy and big. I plan to change, but I also want to keep my 1st dress on as long as possible because I love it! It will be hard to dance in though, so the 2nd dress will come in handy. Pics are in my album

Its not worth it if you dont WANT to change into it-that is of course JMO.

I didnt get a second dress and my dress had to weigh 1/2 as much as I do. I was worried it was going to be hard to manage and dance in but it was so much easier to deal with once bustled...let me add here that I had a 100' train on my dress so it was a no joke dress

Re: Second dress

I personally don't think its worth it because I've tried to do the two dress thing for smaller events and I've forgotten. By the time I'm thru taking the official pics that I want with my dress the night will be over. I'm not sure how long your reception is but mine is 5 hrs and I'll need as least 2 just to take pics with family! If you really love your dress then I wouldn't bother. Just have an outfit for when you leave if you are going straight to the airport.
