Second 'First' Fitting This Weekend!! UPDATED!
I went for my first fitting Tuesday, and as soon as I saw the dress I knew something was wrong. When I ordered it last summer, I had them change the bottom of the dress. It's more of a mermaid cut, and I specifically told them multiple times I wanted trumpet, NOT mermaid (FH hates mermaid cut). They assured me that when the dress came in, the flare would be much higher and it only looked low on the sample because it wasn't my size.
Well for 9 months I was so worried about it, having nightmares and everything. So when I went for my first fitting, of course it was still a mermaid and they told me they can't change it. I got really upset and started crying, and got the store owner. So then she told me they will do everything they can to make it perfect, even if it means they have to remake the dress.
So they were going to work on fixing it this week, and now I have to go back tomorrow morning. I am so worried that it's not going to be right. I need your prayers girls!!
UPDATE: Went this morning and the dress looked MUCH better!!! It still wasn't exactly what I was expecting (they definitely would need to re-cut the dress in order to do it how I pictured it). But the seamstress let out all the seams at the bottom so that the flare isn't as dramatic and it's looser at my thighs so it looks more like a trumpet
I am so relieved! Thank God for the amazing seamstress at the salon! Thanks for all your prayers girls - they worked!
