So, most of you ladies don't really know me as a 'second guesser,' but lately, I've been second guessing EVERYTHING - with my #1 being photography. After seeing my friends photos who had the same studio/photographer, I'm really not convinced that my photographer is right for me and I don't think he has the style I'm looking for. And every time I look at other brides pics, I want their photographer b/c I'm so nervous about mine and that I won't be satisfied with the pictures I will get. I originally wanted someone else in their studio, but that wasn't possible...
Has anyone cancelled on their photographer after the e-pic session and after they already created their STD's? My FH is going to kill me for bringing this up again, but I'm really nervous about this and am worried my memories won't be captured they way I want them to...

I haven't canceled any vendors, but if you are nervous about your photographer, it will probably show in your photographs.
Were you comfortable when you took your e-pics? Were you happy with the finished product?

When it concerns a vendor... trust your instincts... if youre not comfortable with them or dont think that they are who you want then you should make a change...
but make sure its a change you really want to make..
it worked out for me...
ETA: I see youre with Patken.. i would call them and ask if you can change photogs

I was very happy with my e-pics... what i was happy with was my friends wedding proofs and we have the same photog

maybe i just need to go there and talk to them? i have a feeling that my friend didn't really do that. i don't want to be super annoying to them, but i want them to know what i do and don't want.
my FH will totally kill me if i tell him this. i've already talked about it and he's thinks i'm crazy... sigh.

dont worry about being super annoying... if you dont tell them what you want then you wont get what you want

You can show the photog what you do like - and have him focus on that - I'm planning - when I find one- to show them the work of a photog that I like - but can't afford - if they feel that they can't do the style you are looking for - then change - HTS - good luck!

I went with through this with my photographer.I LOVED him but then I saw another girl's photos that were a different style and I loved them too!!! I was seriously going to cancel until I found out we were contracted to pay 20% even if we canceled. FH called the studio to explain and they sugguest I keep a book of pictures I like of others and the photographer will recapture them. So that's what I'm doing and I'm much calmer now lol. I think when you are indescisive (like I am) you have to be very detailed with your vendors.

I know a girl who used your photographer. Many of her pics were posed and very 'artsy', but that is the look they were going for. I am sure if you let them know you're really not into that they will take the photos you want

honestly, i think the photographer is one of the most important things for the wedding because thats how you capture all the memories you want to remember, so if you are having second thoughts, i'd definetly trust your instinct on this one.

Sorry you are feeling like this!!!!! I personally think your engagement pictures are some of the best I have ever seen. I think that is a great sign for what your wedding pictures will look like.

I am using Patken as well. Who is your photographer? If you don't feel comfortable I would have them switch you ASAP....you need to have someone you like or else you will not be happy on your wedding day. Trust your instinct!

I feel the same way there are certain things i really want to tell them, but I don't want to seem annoying/snotty, but In the end I know I will tell them because its my day, this is the one time you really get to be picky about things and I know I'm not gonna let those things go just to be nice.

I definitely think that of you are very specific in the style you want they will listen, make up a good list of your must have shots and definitely don't want shots and talk to your photographer. Patken has an outstanding rep and I am sure they will work with you!
