Second Guest List??

Second Guest List??

Morning Everyone!! So here is my dilemma! FH and I are trying to stick to our guest list count of 100. We were originally going to have a smaller wedding 75 people, but the place I fell in love with has a minimum of 100. So, what we want to do is create 2 guest lists. The first with the people we know we want there and the second in case 100 do not RSVP off of the 1st list. Now here are my questions?

1. How much time to I give guests to RSVP?

2. How far in advance should I send out my first list in order to have enough time for the 2nd list to RSVP?

3. Is this really ghetto?

I'm definitely having an A list and a B list (but for the opposite reason - too many people!). I think it's completely fine and a lot of people do it. I'll just be sending out my A list invitations earlier than normal and then send my B list invites out as I get 'No' RSVPs.

We're having around the same amount as you too. I only have a few people in mind for possibly a B list. FH is inviting alot of his coworkers, I'm not inviting any so I def don't think we'll have a problem meeting our min of 75. You should ask your hall what happens if you don't meet your minimum. Maybe you could send out your A list invites 3 months before and the B list 2 months. I got an invitation a month before from an old high school friend. Obviously I was on the B list lol.

Yeah I'd say to send out your original invites VERY early...maybe 3 months out. This way you have enough time to collect responses and see how many more you need.

I think any invite received less than 6 weeks before the event are obvious B-listers!! So try to get them done before the 6-8 week mark.

1st round - 3 months prior

2nd round - as soon as we get No's
