Second thoughts about Photographer. Please help.

I had an engagement session with my photographer and didn't like the proofs at all because it looked too staged. We actually had them done a second time and I STILL am having doubts. The second poses were exactly what we disliked in the first poses.
Now, I am doubting using them at all and wished I signed up for Duet like most of my friends did.
I heard Duet raised their prices now and I don't really want to switch photographers, but I am very nervous about my decision.

Any advice?

P.S- The reason I picked my photographer is because I saw 2 finished albums of my friends and fell in love with their books.

Ok well, did your frineds' albums have the 'Staged' look that you dislike? Also, did you let other people look at your proofs, did they think they were too 'Stagaed?' Sometimes we have a different perception of how we see ourselves.

Anyway, I think if you're unhappy after the second session, you really should change, I mean obviously they can't give you what you want, even though you have tried to tell them. I'd look into switching, I'd see how much $$ you can get back, and how much duet would charge, maybe they'll cut you a break!

You have to be comfortable with your photographer. That's your lasting memory of the day. I agree that you should let others look at your pictures but you are the one who must be happy.

We want to have 'staged traditional ' pics and photo journalistic ones. WE will be having 2 photographers.
Why don't you ask your photgrapher for those as well.
Maybe they can do that style as well.
