Sectional sofas

We got a new sectional sofa and the sections keep sliding apart, is there something to hold them together?

our sofa is two sections - kind of a couch and a chaise. And they lock together.

So well in fact that we only just figured out how to separate them...

could you please describe what the lock looks like?

there's a rod-like piece sticking out of one piece that fits into the other piece, like a keyhole slot.

To separate them we have to lift up on one piece while pushing down on the other and then pull.

There are two of these 'locks' on the sofa.

Mine connected from under the couch. There were these sorta metal rods that slid out and connect to the other piece.

SOrry not such a great description.
