Security Procedures

How have security procedures changed in your workplace over the last 2 days?

Both mine and FH workplaces had major changes and I am wondering if it is similar across all employment places.

I work in one of the CNN bldgs and State offices are here. So, we've always had to beep our ID cards and open our bags for the guards.

I work for Allstate & we must always at all times have our id cards present,also no outside visitors for lunch or what not until further notice

They have not changed the security procedure since they changed it after 9/11.

Hm, so the change in the security procedures is not widespread...

No air travel for any reason for the next 30 days..(for business)

My company sent this to everyone about traveling.

In light of the impending war, we recommend that all non-essential international business travel for attorneys and staff be postponed. Attorneys and staff are urged to use telephone and video conference facilities in lieu of air travel for meetings. Non-essential, international travel should be restricted until we can make a better assessment as to the safety of air travel.

We appreciate your cooperation with this.

We didn't have any major travel restrictions (except in/out of mid-east)... But the underground tunnel in the Rock Ctr from subway to my building was closed today, and I had to walk outside. We've also been told to wear our ID's all the time, not just carry them when entering the building...

At FH's place, they will have to enter through a metal detector and no delivery people will be allowed inside the building... You would need to sign for deliveries outside of the building....
