I am waiting for the ceremony to see my FH. We will take pictures after that. Every time I tell someone that we will not see each other until the ceremony I get a 'oh. really? ok' type of response. Am I the only one doing this? lol

i waited until i walked down the aisle to see DH for the first time and alot of people do this.
However, you do see more people now doing a reveal beforehand but that all has to do with the time they have between ceremony and RH, basically what it comes down to. For example if you have ceremony at the RH then CH starts immediately after, so many couples will do the reveal before ceremony and take all their pics after that, so by ceremony they have all this done. Or some just dont have alot of time in between. I had ceremony at 2:30pm and CH started at 7:30 so for us it made even more sense to wait until ceremony to see eachother and take pics AFTER our ceremony since we had a gap and needed to fill that time.
There is no wrong or right answer, its only about what will work best for your wedding. Theres some brides who at first didnt want to see eachother before but after realizing they wont have much time to take pics after, they realized it was the best decision.

alot of people have been seeing eachother beforehand nowadays but like others said, its a preference.
at first we werent going to but now we are seeing eachotehr before. we're getting married at the RH and i dont want to miss my CH, plus we want to take lots of pics
i also wanted the first time i see FH to be private, not with everyone staring at me coming down the aisle

We haevnt made an official decision on this but I'm pretty sure I'm gonna end up waiting until the ceremony.
It seems much more common now to see each before the ceremony w/ a reveal.

Were seeing each other at the ceremony. It is romantic and I want him to say WOW when I walk down the aisle!! (also it is old fashioned, and I love that!)

I'm definitely a big fan of us not seeing each other until the ceremony...that's one of those traditions i really like b/c i can't wait to see FH's face when i walk down the aisle...i think that'll be really special.
I know what you mean though, just about every person we spoke to at every RH we went to see kept trying to sell us on seeing each other beforehand for pictures...i mean, to each their own, i know people do it both ways, but i didn't like trying to be swayed on something that's that important to me.

Thanks for the post. I was talking to FH last night and was reconsidering - he thinks I am nuts for even talking about this so far in advance lol But you're right. It is something important to me and I shouldn't care what others think!

and i cant wait for the picture of his face when im walking down the aisle.. i think its by far my favorite wedding picture. MUST TAKE PIC list!!!!!

I'm doing this too. I've gone back and forth because it would be much more convenient for pictures if we saw each other beforehand but there's so few surprises in life these days and you don't get moments like those very often so we decided that we'd do pictures during CH.

I want to wait unitl I walk down the aisle...but we have to sign the Ketubah. So, Im thinking Im gonna sign it pre-dress and then reenact it for pictures later. I REALLY want to keep the tradition- I just gotta convince the FH its a good thing

Jennifer is my date twin so she must be smart I have the exact same feelings... I'm pretty old fashioned and we agreed to wait until the ceremony.
Plus, we have a big gap so we'll be using that to take pics.
