Hello, sorry to crash but I need advice from girls that did this already. I know you helped girls out with this before but couldn't find it in the search. I am getting married on the reception site, so if we took pics after the ceremony we will try to get them taken during the cocktail hour (rushing and only having pics on site.) If I see him before we can go to the park etc enjoy cocktail hour and not have to rush. I just wanted it to be special when we saw eachother for the first time. There are pros and cons for both. Do you have any suggestions? Thanks so much!!

DH and i saw eachother before the ceremony. we didnt want to miss our CH, so we took all pics before the ceremony.
we had our photog/videog set up our '1st seeing' so we'd have that special moment on film.

The pros definitley outweigh the cons! I did it and it was the best idea of the whole wedding! The moment was so special, we got to hug, cry, hug again, laugh, talk, he examined the whole dress.. it really was a 15 minute long greeting. It also made the day seem so much longer, one we got to the church everything flew by so I was happy for every extra minute we had. I say DO IT!

The first time you see each other will be special no matter where/when it is.
i totally agree! talk to your photographer about setting up a special moment, i am sure they wil have some ideas for you, and they will capture it all for you to look back on! then your hair/makeup will be fresh for pics, you will be relaxed and unrushed. you can spend time taking some creative pics and maybe even have some time to yourself to relax right before the ceremony. i totally recommend doing your pics before and fully enjoying your CH and reception!

I saw my husband before the ceremony and it was still a very special moment when I walked down the aisle. We enjoyed riding over to the ceremony together so much. Honestly, I couldn't have made it through the day without seeing him...would have been too nervous!
