I was just thinking about the possibility of selling my dress after the wedding. I would LOVE to keep it, but in reality what would I do with it? I can get some $$ back and make extra room in the closet.
Have you thought about this? What will you ladies be doing with the dress after you wear it?

I've thought about it. I might keep it because I am a sentimental person,but I know that I'm not saving it for a future daughter. Realistically, she won't want to wear it. I don't want to wear my mothers, she probably won't want to wear mine!

Exactly! I thought of making a Christening outfit out of it for a future baby - but i don't think I ill want to cut up my wedding dress. :/

I thought about selling it or donating it (I like the idea of donating it better bec it would help a bride who maybe can't afford a dress ) but I haven't done anything yet including preserving it. One thing that stops me is that it is my WEDDING dress...I feel kind of funny selling or donating the most important dress of my life lol!

Well there is a site that sells them and some are getting more than half the price - It depends on how new the style is I guess.
If the dress is expensive in itself and you can get half back (more than a thousand) then why not?

I had thought that I'd sell it or toss it (clearly I am not a sentimental person) but FH won't let me! He wants me to keep it, so I guess that's what I'll be doing

After a year of it sitting in the box I would sell it but I just can't bring myself to put it on craiglist. I love the damn thing but when the hell are you going to wear it again? I also was holding out to make it into christening gowns but I may not have kids for a VERY long time or if ever.
