Semi-disappointed with e-pics

hey ladies, (sorry for another long post..)

so i went for my e-pics last friday afternoon. i got the proofs over the weekend and i wouldn't say that i'm 100% thrilled with the results...

originally we were going to have them taken at the botantical gardens but then decided last minute to go to the seaport (mainly bc our RH has a garden so we thought it would be a good change).

I was planning on wearing a white dress to the garden, but was afraid that it would be too bland for the seaport buti didn't have time to find a new dress so i ended up wearing a very pale yellow dress... (so that's mostly my fault)

well i feel like in a lot of the pictures, i look like i blend right into the background. actually in one picture, i noticed the ppl in the background before i noticed us.

for an hour long shoot, i think we only liked about 10-15 pictures and i feel like there were other pictures we took that she didn't put up on her website. I was really surprised bc i love all the work she has up on her blog and i guess that's kind of what i had been expecting.

also, i found out after the fact that she is not going to give us the pictures unless we purchase prints from her. i thought it was kind of strange since we are getting a copy of all the wedding pictures... i guess its my fault for not asking, but its frustrating bc i was planning on using them to make a guestbook. she said we would have to buy the guestbook through her as well.

anyway, do you think the engagement pics are THAT important that we should retake them with someone else, or do you think we should just leave them?

....sigh......

First I understand your upset but I am sure the pics are beautiful....dont stress I dont think its worth to retake bc it will prob be expensive...but if you want to and the $ isnt an issue myabe it will make you feel better

sorry, i didn't mean to be so dramatic - but i'd say i'm about 70% happy with the results... (so at least not 0%!) :) i guess i thought there would be more variety and interesting shots...

do you think i need more than 10-15 pics for the guestbook?

i've never used photoshop before, but do you think it would be possible to ask her to maybe enhance the color of my dress?

Awe. That stinks. I do not think u should retake them and I think 15 pictures is enough for a guest-book. but its such cheese when a photographer makes you go through her only. If you did not book your wedding photographer yet i would not go through her or you will have the same problems later.
if you just order prints from her and you find someone with a scanner you can scan the photos in a certain resolution (u need to know how to use the scanner and kinda know the computer) once u scan the photos to the right size u can upload to kodak gallery or any other site and make the quest book that way. unless she gives u a good price but i doubt it.
