Should I send out an invite to people who I know arent coming?
I have two friends on the West Coast who have already told me that they cant come to the wedding because they are both preggers.
I'm bummed but they already gave me a heads up.
What should I do?
should i send them an invite, no, or send them one if I have enough left over with the b list group?

This is always a tough one when you know someone cant make it- because you dont want to send it so it seems like you are asking for a gift- but you dont want them to feel left out.
But since they are your friends I would say definately- they will probably want to see your invite and want to be included. hth

I think you should - just to acknowledge that you wish they could be there.
My cousin is in Iraq, can't even get his mail, but I sent him one anyway - I just thought it didn't feel right not to.

I am going thru the same thing. I have a co-worker who told me she and her hubby can't come b/c they have a wedding the same day in CT. I sent them an invite anyway b/c I didn't want to offend her by not sending one, especially since other co-workers are getting invites.

I would still send it. They would probably send you a gift.

If you have enough invites, then send them one...I sent my friend who is in peace corps an invite in Africa even though I knew she wouldnt be back before the wedding

I would send it. I have a similiar situation, one of my BM's is no longer able to come b/c she is due a few weeks after the wedding and she is currently on bed rest so she won't even be able to come to my shower. However, I know she would really want to still feel invited and included even though we both know she can't come so I am sending her one. I know from my own feeling, that even if I can't go its nice to know that I was officially invited and wanted at the celebration.

I would send it. I would want to get the invite, it's nice to be thought of. Even if they can't make it.

its the thought that counts, you want them to share your wonderful day and they of course would if they could so i would still send one to let them know you really did want them there and plus everyone loves to open a wedding invite!!!

I personally, would send it. But here is where it gets complicated...
I once overheard someone who told a bride she couldn't make it to her wedding well in advance (it was a distant relative) and was furious that she was sent an invite anyway. She felt obligated to get her a gift.
So, it depends. If you are close it might not matter.
For our wedding we had someone tell us that they would not be able to attend. She then offered the follow up statement, 'So, I won't get an invitation, right?' We obviously won't send her one. However this person did request to be invited to my shower....People are funny...
