Sending out Invite Question

My wedding is July 4th...when is an appropriate time to mail our invites out...I have asked several people to which I get all different answers...I figure you guys will know best We are going to be ordering them shortly...TIA

Probably the end of April or the beginning of May.

I think that it would depend it you sent out STDs. If you sent those out, I would wait until Memorial Day weekend (About 8 weeks). If not I would go for 12 weeks.

we did send out STD's b/c it is a holiday weekend

I would send them out the first week in May, with a return by the three week of June.

I think they say no more than 2 months before. I wish you could do it 3 months before because - and I know this sounds horrible, how do you handle the B-LIST if you don't get enough yeses. Eeek.

i would so 10-12 weeks before..did u send save the dates? if so than i wouldnt worry...anybody who really wants to be there wont make plans..

About 2 months before. Maybe a bit earlier if you have OOT guests.

My wedding is Juky 3rd, ad since it is a holiday weekend, and we have a lot of OOT guests that need to make travel arrangements...I am sending my invites out the first week of April, with a May 30 RSVP. That gives guests plenty of time to figure out if they can come and gives me 2 weeks to count, do tables, and harass the people who did not send back their response. I have to give RH count 2 weeks before my date.
I talked to a lot of people at work that recently got married and they think it is fine to send them out early. A friend of mine said she rec'd a wedding invite once that was 6 months before the wedding. Consider that you probably have to give your RH final count 2 weeks before. So count weeks from the middle of June, not from your wedding date.
A girl I work with is getting married the end of April, and she sent her invites out the end of January.

I would definitely do them on the sooner side. It also helps if u sent out out STDs since it's a holiday weekend!

That's a great day for a wedding, my parents got married on July 4th!

im getting married on a holiday weekend i sent out STDs last year but i still sent the invites out early. i sent them this past week ( well mine anyway im still waiting for FHs list lol)

send them when you feel its a good time id say end of april or so............gives people time to make or change plans.....OOT guests more time to book airfare and hotel and whatnot

i guess everyone is different i think they should be sent early even if you sent STDs especially if you sent them very early on...but then again my family is full of idiots and prob didnt even keep the STDs lol so i played it safe and sent them early
