Sending out invites

What should I know?

What's 'hand cancelling' exactly/
Where do I get the pretty wedding stamps?
How/Where do I weigh the invites?

take the invite to the post office they will weigh it for you and tell you how much postage they need to get mailed.

you can get the pretty stamps either online or the post office itself, depending on how much value you need to mail.

Hand canceling is hen they manualy stamp the invite and a circle ink mark is around the stamp top right corner, isntead of going through the postage machines and making all those black marks. It looks much nicer, especially for invites.

Also, if I go to the post office and tell them i want the invites to be hand cancelled.. all 200 of them.. will they want to jump me after I leave the post office?

I did it myself - they gave me the stamp and showed me where to do it. It took like 10 mins to do 225 - they were very nice

I took one mockup to get weighed. Unfortunately, my postage was a wonky amount, so I did not get pretty wedding stamps, I got dolphins Then I brought them backed, stuffed and stamped, and the guy hand cancelled them

You can also bring your invites in batches of say 50 that way the clerk doesn't go too crazy with all your invites.

Irina are you from brooklyn?? If you are I need to do the same thing lol Let me know how it goes =) Sheepshead has nice ring stamps if that helps !
