I finished my invitations a few days ago, put stamps on them sealed them, and left them in a box, and I was going to send them out in 2 weeks or so...(my wedding is August 22) Well, I come home from work today and my mom (all excited, and thinking she was helping out) told me she took them up to the post office and sent them out! Does it look bad that they were sent out 3 months in advance?? I can't stop thinking about it...it looks like I jumped the gun. Does it really matter??

Re: Sent out invites too early?
It's fine, It'll give everyone a chance to plan, especially since it's in the summer when people like to go on vacation...and it's right b/f school starts so parents will want to plan. Your out of town guests will love you too! They'll have lots of time to make travel arrangements.

You're better off, if you do a search on responses, you will see how many brides end up having to call people to find out if they are coming to the wedding or not, because they never respond by the cut off date! Another good thing is you can start planning the seating chart earlier, and if you have a B list, you have time to send more invites out

I wouldn't worry about it - you wont seem like bridezilla:) It's probably better so your guests can make their summer plans with your wedding date in mind!
