anyone know where you can get them besides the vet? my vet is such a hassle to get into- i always have to wait at least an hour with her

I don't know if pet stores can legally sell these...I'll find out.
Why not call the vet.'s office in advance, ask them to have the meds ready to go (say you have to get in and out fast, you have an MD appointment, or something)

thanks kathy, i could try it...sometimes they tell me i need to take her in for bloodwork...i feel like any time i step foot in the vet's office it's $200

I just asked my DH (he's a veterinarian) it is illegal for a pet store to sell Sentinel.
You dog needs an annual exam and heartworm test before going on the Sentinel...if your dog has heartworm disease and goes on the Sentinel, you dog could die (it would kill the heartworm larvae and possibly cause a deadly clot in the bloodstream).

Actually, we buy ours over the internet. We just send in a script from our vet or fax it over without going to the vet.
