What color BM dresses are you using? What color flowers are you using? I want purples and blues to match the BM dresses which are Vic.Liliac. My florist is recommending darker colors because Sept. is considered Fall. I don't agree with her but I am curious to hear what colors you are using? Thanks

Im getting married on Sept 6th, and I think it is ok to use the kind of flowers you are talking about. It may be considered fall, but is still warm in September and I dont think you have to get dark flowers until later fall like November. As long as there are flowers in season in the colors you want, I think there is no problem with it.
By the way, my dresses are a dark red (claret). I am using red roses, lavender roses, white calalilies, and a blue flower I cant recall the name of.

Hiya - I'm a 9/21 bride too:) Our florist told us that we would probably be able to use summer flowers, that the chances of it being cool enough for fall flowers is pretty slim.
Our MOH is wearing cranberry & the BM is wearing a platinum vest & tie. I haven't decided about the flowers yet.

I'm the 21st too! It's only 94 days away.
The BM are wearing raspberry dresses, and the flowers with be pinks, yellows, maybe oranges, and some kind of blue-ish flower. Even though most people think the summer is over, the weather is still nice, and the trees haven't changed color or anything. So I think summer colors will be fine.
Let's hope for good weather

I'm Sept 21 too! I'm so excited! My bridesmaids are wearing a dark apple red color. The tuxes are just going to be standard black tie. We're having the wedding in a private home we rented for the week in Southampton. I'm using fall colors for the flowers - like the black beauty roses (since they will match the dress) and dark rust, purple and blue colors. Is anyone else getting married outside?? We have to pray for good weather!!

We are getting married 9/27. For flowers we are choosing fall colors. Orange, Red, cream & hypernicum berries(sp?) They will be set in real pumpkins! The girls dresses are apple red too! (good choice tracyann74) September can go either way, I just have a pumpkin fettish and had to have them on the table! Good luck to all! Counting down the days!!

I'm getting married 9/20. I am using a dark red for the BM dresses and bright autumn-colored flowers. The date is borderline summer/fall so I think you could go either way.

I'm a 9/21/02 bride too! I have changed my mind about 1001 times over my flowers!!
My bridesmaids will be wearing black skirts with silver tops, with my MOH is silver & my FG in silver & off-white. At first I wanted off-white flowers, but my MOH said that, with the colors I has chosen, I'd better go with a color that 'pops' - so I think I'm going to go for bouquests that are mostly red or red & off-white roses. The centerpieces will be a mix of flowers and colors, with red the predominant color.
As far as what colors you should/must choose --> I think the whole certain colors for certain season thing is silly & old-fashioned (like that 'no white after labor day' rule). The main thing is oo make sure your flowers - regardless of color - are in season & that the colors for your centerpieces don't clash with the decorations/colors in your reception location.

Although I was not a Sept. 21 bride -- I was an Oct. 6 bride -- my BM wore Victorian Lilac (from David's Bridal -- I wonder if they are the same). Their bouquets had purples, fushias and even yellow in them! (I was stressing over the yellow and changed it about 3 times, but was glad I kept it because it really did look nice). So don't worry about what your florist said -- go with what YOU want!! Just my 2 cents.

It's Style 2410 and it came with a matching wrap. I like the dresses your BM are going to wear! They didn't have them when we went to look, but then again that was last year!

I got married Sept. 21st last year...(can't believe it'salmost a year already!) Anyway, My BM dresses were vic. lilac and I used a bouquet of all roses for my girls in 3 different shades. They were blush, pink and lilac. They looked amazing against the dresses!!! Last year Sept. 21st was technically the last day of summer so we went with the whole summer feeling instead of the warm fall flowers.
