September 2004 Brides

What have you accomplished so far? I feel behind, but everyone tells me I am ahead of the game.

I picked the place (Oheka)
The band (747)
The bridesmaid dress, but did not order it yet (Lazaro)
The videographer (Motion Pictures)
Met with Flowers by Michele and I am waiting for a more precise estimate.
STD cards

What should I do next?

You are doing pretty well! I just have the hall (Crescent Beach Club) and I am in the process of booking the church and the band. I am in the process of researching vendors. It is a little difficult for me because I live and NYC and can't decide whether to go with city vendors or LI vendors. Don't you worry though, you are way ahead. Unlike me!

I WOULD SAY YOU ARE VERY MUCH AHEAD. I HAVE DONE THE RECEPTION AND CEREMONY AT (SANS SOUCI) RIGHT NOW I AM LOOKING TO BOOK PHOTOGRAPHER, I PRETTY MUCH KNOW THE DRESSES I WANT FOR MY BM AND MYSELF, THAT GREAT YOU ARE SO FAR AHEAD.

Like Chippa said, please do not go by us. We are so very ahead with the planning. I am so ahead that I created my menu template and RD invite template this weekend. This is what I have done so far:

I am currently dress shopping...

I've gathered ideas for BM dresses (which will be after I find my dress), invitations (which is after BM dresses) and flowers (I figure I'll interview florists come September so I can get an idea for what they offer in that month)...ideas on HM destination, wedding bands & cakes as well.

I was talking to NYLisa today and we are both getting married the same day and at the same hall. We were saying how its 479 more days till the big day and I was like OMG wasnt last week 500.

I just cant believe how time is flying.

working on house decorating now

we're building a house and hoping to have construction started by the end of the year so we started looking at patio furniture, bedroom furniture, wall units, candles, etc....

We are going to FL and starting fresh. So its been a lot of C&B catalogs, ikea catalogs, printing out things from websites, pottery barn catalogs, and buying home magazine to get ideas.

So we have wedding and house at the same time. A little overwhelming but keeping us both very busy
