Is September starting to push it for my STDs to go out?? I really wanted them out the end of July because I know my wedding is a year to go, but it is also the night before a holiday so I wanted to give people plenty of warning! My e-shoot now looks like it won't be happening until the 2nd week of August, 2 weeks (about) to get the e-pics, order the STDs etc.....we're looking at Sept now.
This is why I am torn between waiting for a picture, or just sending one without.

Do you have to use a professional pic on them?I just used my favorite picture of FH and I on mine.

I don't think September is too late. If you really don't want to wait then I would find a pic of you and your FH that you like and use that. I've seen many STDs that didn't have a professional pic on it.

i think sep is fine we are july 1 and we are sending them in sep - that still gives ppl 10 months advance notice - july 4th JUST passed ppl are NOT planning for next summer alrdy!

I think September would be fine. If you'll be sending out the invitations in May, that's 7 months. I think you should be ok.. :)
I'm a month after you (and at CLM too) :)
I was thinking anywhere between October-November for sending out our STD's.

I think September will be fine too! You are still giving your guests close to a years notice about your wedding. Our STDs probably won't go out till Nov-Dec, which is our 10-9 month mark. Our E-pics are happening on our 11 month mark, and I know it will take some time for turn around and printing. I wouldn't stress!

You can wait, or send now... it doesn't really matter. I know some brides that sent out the STD's at their 1 year point, I am sending mine at 7 months...

I think a year out is too far out actually. I think 6 - 8 months is more of a reasonable time frame. People don't even have their 2012 calenders out yet! I'm April 2012 and I'm hoping to get mine out by Sept/Oct.

I'm getting marriend in April, and I had the SAME problem. Don't worry, take the pressure off of yourself! They will still be out WAY in advance for people to 'save the date'. I was so dead set on having them out around the one year mark it was driving me nuts. Turns out....mine are going out monday. Thankfully.magnet street took only about 8 days to get them to me once I ordered them! Anyway...don't worry and get the save the dates that you really want!
