Hi all...
I was just wondering what everyone was planning for their honeymoons...My FI is really bad with flying so we can't go to Hawaii like I always dreamed!!! So,we were thinking about St. Lucia but everyone is scaring me with that whole 'Isn't it hurricaine season...' thing!!! So, now we are thinking about Los Cabos, Mexico! Anyone else out there having these concerns or is it just me???
A suggestion - you may want to consider Aruba. You will be guaranteed good weather and it is a short plan ride away.
I have a friend who is getting married in September and she is leaning toward St. Lucia (Sandals) If in the event of a hurricane or storm the trip is moved to another Sandals at no additional cost.

Bermuda is beautiful. You can actually cruise out of NY to Bermuda in September...I did it twice! We're taking a 10-day cruise from Boston to Canada/New England (we're not 'tropical' people). Plus, I'm the one who hates to fly! :)

So that's were I was coming from. I hope I didn't insult anyone who's paying less than $3000- I say: good for you if you found someone you like without spending ridiculous amounts of money!
How about taking a mini Honeymoon locally in Sept - New England is beautiful in the fall - and waiting for the storm season to end for your tropical Honeymoon.
it's just that even with the Hurricane insurace thing I'm thinking that this is my honeymoon and even though they will bring us somewhere else or give us another trip (which is all good) I can't get that feeling and time back!!! You know that whole 'I JUST GOT MARRIED!!! AND I'M ON MY HONEYMOON' feeling won't be there 6 months later!!!
I guess I'm just a neurotic nut right now!!! I have 6 weddings this year including my own! And I'm a bridesmaid in 3 of them!!!

I am also getting married in September and after a lot of research, I decided upon Aruba for our honeymoon. We are staying at the Allegro Resort for 10 days and from what I have read and heard from many people who have gone there around that time is that the weather is absolutely beautiful and you are almost guaranteed good weather.
