september brides

What's everyone been doing lately? Any specific to-dos? I feel like I'm not getting anything done lately.

hello!!! right now I've been more involved in my house then wedding plans! we're painting our kitchen & dining room. Luckily I have most of my major stuff done, now I just have to worry about favors & some DIY stuff, and ordering my veil and getting shoes.

What do you have left to do? I definitely feel like I've lost some steam lately!!

I have to get shoes, and a bunch of stuff done, but I feel like every time I try to get things done, FH or my mom, or anyone else looks at me like I'm crazy, that i have so much time. But, what's wrong w/getting things done early, right?

I haven't been getting anything done lately either. I was in a big slump for a couple of months and I'm trying to get out of it now. I made myself a big to-do list the other day but most of it can't be done until July or August.

right now i'm getting the guest list together (it is 99.8% done) for the calligrapher. then, tomorrow, i'm overnighting them to her so she can begin work on them on sunday. i'm scheduled for the week of 5/13 to have her do them. (michele clark calligraphy).

then, once i get them back at least that is OUT of the way in plenty of time for me to get the invites out. i THINK i'm sending out the invites in the middle of june (like around the 15th or so).

that reminds me- i've been meaning to ask- when is everyone else sending their invites out (for a september wedding)???

i just want to see if i'm on par or not.

other than the invites... i'm just paying vendors little by little, i just put together the lay-out for programs so that's OUT of the way and all that needs to be done is to get them printed, i need to get working on the favors (finding out specifically what needs to be done to donate to MADD and actually giving the money), hmmm-- what else? i have bride brain as i'm typing lol...

i need to schedule my first fitting for sometime in the middle to end of june, i need to check on the status of the girl's dresses b/c they should be in soon and i think that's pretty much it... or at least all i can think of for now.

i'll edit if i think of more

Yep! That reminds me-- I need shoes and whatever I'm going to wear underneath the gown. But I have to wait for my first fitting so Carole at Burton's can instruct me on what my gown needs.

I wanted to send them out the third week of June (which would be the exact same timeframe as you since I'm the week after you)....but then after finding out the new wedding stamps come out on June 27th, I was thinking maybe I'd send them by June 30th the latest? I might have to zazzle it up and go that route if I want to get them out earlier......my RSVP is August 4th, so I didn't want to send them out too late.

My main focus right now is invitations.

I just got done picking out my jewelry and BM jewelry.

I'm also obssessing over favors

BMs dresses are next - we have them picked out - just need them ordered.

I had to change my invitations vendor last week because the first vendor was taking too long due to a heavy workload.
So now I'm working on the design with the new vendor... can't wait to get them done!!

My focus is invitations now. I still have to do a million other things, but I have soooo lazy.. Invites by the end of this month, and I am totally not sure when to send them out.. I guess July?

I still need to book a DJ, my HM (booking tonight!), and limos. Plus I need all my accessories- besides a veil, which I ordered, but have a feeling I'm not going to like. FH still needs to look at tuxes.

OH! And I have to order invitations

Talk about being behind!

My RSVP date is August 1st and I wanted to give people 6 weeks but I will be waiting until the 27th and stuffing like crazy to get them out on the 28th.

I'm printing out envelopes for the invitations, ordering my veil this weekend, and picking out tuxedos as well this upcoming weekend! I'm planning on sending out my invites sooner than later since I'm on labor day weekend and I know people are giong to be making plans plus a lot of my friends and family go on vacations during the summer so i want to catch them before they leave. So we're aiming for June 15th to send out the invites, although I'm very upset about the stamp situation! I love how the post office has screwed over brides during the most popular wedding season! grr....

we also just picked out a ketubah so we have to place that order and we're shopping for wedding rings! I'm also starting to think about what to get my BMs.

I'm collecting names & addresses for my guest list. Also looking into getting musicians for the ceremony (shouldn't be too hard)

I still need to get my DOJ, bridal party gifts, book honeymoon(by this weekend it will be done), book florist, passport, hair trial(may 24th)... any DIY, i must be forgeting something

my biggest thing right now is invites too. our plan is to send them out the first week in July, with a rsvp for aug 15. i still have way too much to do though. april and the first two weeks of may have been non-stop, with stuff everyday of the week, so i haven't really had much time to think about things. things will quiet down for me after saturday, so i'll get a start on some DIY and BM/GM gifts. i still need everything for myself (except a dress and veil), but i think i'll be okay in the end. i've just been pushing it all off because i feel like i've been too busy to worry about wedding things too!

I am going to start working on printing the envelopes and sending out the invites the end of June. I have been busy wit everyoine elses wedding before me and focusing on them. Time is flying though!

I still have no invites...but I'm not worried yet. We are going to pick out wedding bands this weekend!! I'm so excited about that.

I can't believe the stamp situation...it's BS!
