Where are you planning to honeymoon?? FH and I want somewhere warm , kind of tropical....but not looking to go to the Carribean because I don't want to risk the hurricane thing? Any suggestions???

We postponed our HM and going this March to the Bahamas. We went away to Newport, RI the weekend of our wedding to just relax.

I know Aruba & Tahiti are safe during hurricane season.......I've read some good things about Costa Rica & Belize too.

We are probably going to Mexico. There's still a Hurricane risk, but not as high as the Carribean.

We haven't officially booked it yet, but we're going to Royal Hideaway in Playa del Carmen, Mexico. we plan to leave a few days after the wedding.

I'm not a September-November bride but, I'd recommend Los Cabos. It's a desert so they get very little rain. They did have a hurricane come through this past September but, it's an odd occurrence.
I was there for a week in October and it didn't rain at all!

Someone I work with went there a few months ago...I'm pretty sure it was the week of Labor day.....she loved it! She didn't mention it being rainy, maybe b/c when she went it was really the end of summer, not fall yet.....I'll have to ask her.

We are going to Las Vegas for 3 nights following our wedding, we will be going on a Western Carribbean Cruise the week for Thanksgiving to avoid hurricanes. My FH is from New Orleans, and REFUSES to be anywhere near the water until after hurricane season.

We were going to postpone ours and go to Costa Rica in the winter and take a small vacation right after the wedding to get away. After some discussion we switched everything and are now going to Italy for our honeymoon.
Would you consider putting it off a few weeks/months? We were really set on tropical at first too, but then figured we always wanted to go to Italy, it's expensive, so what better time to justify the cost? We'll probably do Costa Rica the following year if we can.

I called a travel agent for early november they said pretty much only the carribean. They told me Hawaii, Tahiti, and Fiji were all rainy season from Jan. to Feb.
A friend of mine went to Hawaii in December gr8 weather year before rained. I also know a september and october brides who went it was beautiful.
How is greece in november?

We are getting married at the end of September. Therefore, we will be taking a Southern Carribean cruise from San Juan to Aruba, Curacao, St. Maarten, St. Thomas and back to San Juan. Our 2nd week, we will be visiting N. Palm Beach, Florida as my parents own a co-op there that is vacant.
Aruba and Curacao are good islands to visit during hurrican season.
