Seriously, when do I really have to start looking at BM dresses?

Seriously, when do I really have to start looking at BM dresses?

I know not for a while, but I need some kind of a deadline. Hoping that FSIL will be included as a BM, but not sure if her mom will really allow her. Need to know when the final decision has to be made.

We had ordered our BM dresses 4-5 months before the wedding. I wanted to do it a little earlier than that but on of my BM unexpectedly became pregnant (they weren't trying) so it took a little longer to figure out the dresses. Everything came in fine though and about 7-8 weeks before the wedding.

You can start looking as early as August (1 year out) but you really don't have to order until 6-8 months before the wedding. We ordered in April for my October wedding and the gowns arrived in late June.

Thanks! Is it a good idea to tell the dress place an earlier date?

I would think so that way if there was a problem you could still have some more time.

I would start looking in August. That way, you have enough time to look and then order them without being pressured for time.

Im going to order in Aug...I have 2 BM's in college....and they go back...so i wont see them till December!!!
