Setting Up DIY CP's

Setting Up DIY CP's

If you are doing CP's yourself how are they being set-up before the wedding? Is someone at the hall doing it for you?

Re: Setting Up DIY CP's

This is why I decided not to do DIY centerpieces - I just can't afford a DOC and I wasn't sure if my RH would do it (I believe they will, but maybe at a cost???). When I crunched the numbers for the centerpieces that I wanted to DIY vs. just going through a florist, I really wouldn't have been saving much at all so I'm just going to go with a florist.

Sorry, not much help to you. But call your RH and ask them. I believe they will do them for you.

Thank you! I will contact them and find out. I was just wondering what others might have done in that situation. I can't go there the morning-of to set them up myself.

Someone at my hall said they would set them up for me, but I am having my 2 friends- one is snowcutie82, check them and make sure they are how I actually want them.

How soon before the reception can you go set them up? Like if I had an evening wedding and reception, could I go in the morning or around noon and set them up myself? (Control freak sometimes, I know...)

That is what I was thinking....My ceremony is at 3 and I would have to go there before hair and makeup, which means I would have to get there at like 7 in the morning. I am waiting to hear back from my RH to see what they say.

My RH offered (Milleridge) to setup anything I wanted. They setup your placecards, table numbers, and favors - why not your CP's too?

I made it easy on them and got boxes from Michael's, put a tag with the table number on the outside, and organized each table's stuff inside. And I reused the boxes later.

Well depends on what they have to do...For e-party i dropped off all my stuff and they set up the tables and room for me. But my flowers were easy to do, just putting them in the vases we bought. They were amaryllis flowers which all you do is throw it in the vase and it looks fine...If its something like that then they will do it...But if its alot of work they would have to do putting together your CP then talk to them about it.

My RH is setting them up for me. They just ask that I bring them favors, centerpiece, and anything else the night of the rehearsal.

We did DIY CPs, I made them up about a week before the wedding. Then I grabbed a bunch of boxes from work and each CP went into its own box. I made sure to mark each one and designate the Top side. Then 2 nights before the wedding we brought them (and all the other stuff) over to the RH.

ETA: The RH had no problem setting them up for me and even placed a napkin underneath each one that added a little something and I loved it. I included some extra petals in each box that they scattered around the CPs.

Re: Setting Up DIY CP's

we got candleabras from walmart and pillar candles from target and used petals from our florist for our centerpieces ($20/piece).

we dropped off the stuff a week before our wedding in labeled boxes (ceremony stuff, reception stuff, etc) and our hall put it together the day of and they did a great job.

talk to you hall about it and they will let you know what they can do for you!

I made a deal with my delicious florist that if we pick up the bouquets, she will set up our rose petal and candle centerpieces!
