Several questions regarding Mom's dress & invites

Several questions regarding Mom's dress & invites

Below I posted the link to see my mom's dress. She got the Navy one, not the Eggplant. In the pic you can see that it's not full-length - I guess it's tea-length? Our wedding is a Friday night and Mom is a little paranoid that tea-length is not 'formal' enough. What do you girls think? I told her I think it's really pretty and if she's comfy in it, who cares!

The other question I have is that one of my co- workers just told me she won't be able to come to my wedding b/c she's got another wedding that night. Now, do I even bother sending her an invitation knowing she isn't coming? I sort of feel like that looks like I'm asking for a gift anyway... not sure what to do!

TIA!!Mom's Dress

The dress is absolutely fine...and the invite? I would ask her. I would say 'I know that you can't come to my wedding, but do you want an invite anyway? Just in case?'

The dress looks perfect for a friday wedding or most weddings for that matter, as for the invites, I would probably still send an invite...just in case her other plans fall through..I would let her know that i'm still going to send an invite beforehand..

an invitation is an announcement and she would probably like to have it.

It doesnt obligate her to give you a gift, and it lets her know that you like her enough to extend the courtesy even though you know she cant attend.

I say send it.

Dress: I think it's very pretty!

Invite: Yes as a courtesy I'd send it anyhow- I had a few folks tell me no who are now a yes.

Love the dress!!! its beautiful!!! as for the invite, I say if you have extra ones, send her one, just let her know that it isnt because you want anything from her just that she is invited even if she cant make it

Hey Ris! Beautiful dress-I think it is still pretty long. I think it will look great! As far as invites-I am also in the same situation, but as long as I have enough invitations I will still send one. How are the rest of the plans going? FM me!
