SewDeb Rave!! Anyone Looking for a Veil, CLICK HERE!

I wasn't thrilled with the veils I was seeing for a number of reasons. I'm short (not even 5'1) so none of the lengths looked right on me. Also, I just was not a big fan of the look, feel or puffiness of tulle. I was not about to spend the $400-500 it would cost for me to get a silk tulle veil from a bridal shop either so I was sort of at a loss.

So, I got SewDeb's name from Bethsiar's review (thank you Beth ). I emailed her and told her what I was thinking (simple, flowy material, single tier, hip length since i have a drop waist gown). She was so unbelievably helpful and responsive. We decided together that silk tulle was the best way to go. SewDeb deals with two silk dealers in the UK on a regular basis so I was able to order the material from here and have it shipped directly to her (I think she's in the mid-west somewhere). She then created my gorgeous veil. I just received it yesterday and I cannot tell you how happy I am. It is exactly what I wanted! And, including costs of material, shipping and labor, it was all for less than $100!!

So, any bride that is looking for her veil, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND SewDeb.

I am in search for a veil. I found one that I love, but the bridal shop doesn't have the # to order it. Maybe Deb can help! Have fun at your hair trial!

how long did it take to get your veil? I am thinking about using her because i want silk tulle- i loved bethsai's veil

She'll honestly get it to you as fast as you need it. We started corresponding in the beginning of October, I'd say but I didnt' need it until now because my hair trial isn't until Sun and I'm not getting married until April. But she'll work with you timing-wise.

She didn't make my veil but I've used her as a resource for tips on helping my aunt make it and she is definitley a wonderful person. How many people are willing to give so much assistance for something they aren't even getting paid for?

I am so glad that you had a great experience with her! I can't wait to see pictures of it. I forget what you wrote in your post...is it 2 tier?

Nope, just single tier. I wanted something very simple, very flowy. I keep using that and I don't even think it's a word! Anyway, I love the back of my dress and since silk tulle is denser than man-made fabrics, I didn't want to completely cloud the back.
