Re: Sewing Machines

singer is a good brand...

my mom has a husqvarna viking sewing machine...but you guys woud die if you knew how much she spent (she is a crazy quilter and teaches classes so it is worth it for her)

but they have other more reasonable priced machines

you could also go to a fabric store...like Joanns or sentimental stiches in cold spring harbor or peatchwork quilts in sayville to ask recommendations

Re: Sewing Machines

i think my mom got her sewing machine from a place in wantagh on sunrise highway. it had a cute name like Mr. Vacuum & Mrs. Sew - something like that.

like erica's home - my mom is a big-time quilter so she spent some serious dough on her machine - it does all sorts of fancy things. you can definitely get a basic machine for a reasonable amount of money. joann's also sews them - and has classes to teach you how to use them.
